RALLY ARCADE A GameMaster concept

Arcade meets escape room. On four wheels.

Take your car through the course, find the checkpoints, solve the tasks and crack the codes on the Rally Arcade console. One car can chase the best possible time — or several cars can race each other head to head.

How it works

There is nothing to prepare. Show up with a car, a driving licence and a competitive streak — we have rigged the rest.

Pick up the console

We meet you at the starting point in Ski and hand your car its own console. The rules take five minutes, then you are off.

Drive to the checkpoint

The console tells you where to go. The clock is running, and every minute saved turns into points.

Solve the task

At each checkpoint you enter a location code. That starts the clock for the task. The faster you solve it, the more points you score.

Unlock the next one

A completed task opens the next stop. A wrong code costs time or points. It carries on like that until you reach the finish.

Duel — two cars or more

The cars run the same course, but the opening task decides who sets off first. The teams compete for points, and along the way you can leave traps for your rivals. This is where it really takes off.

One car works just as well — then you compete against the clock and the scoreboard instead. The price is per car either way, so fill it up.

  • A console for every car
  • Traps you can set for the others
  • A shared scoreboard along the way
  • The winning car crowned at the end

Secrets along the way

Every course hides a few secrets. Some teams find them, some drive straight past.

Three courses, one concept

Choose your course

All of them start and finish in Ski, and all share the same mechanics: console, codes and a series of checkpoints. But they take you to completely different places, with their own tasks and a few different elements. Once you have driven one, the next is still brand new.

Rally Arcade Country Track

Country Track

Out of town and into the farmland. Gravel roads, farmyards, woodland and water — you may well discover new places along a route you have driven a hundred times before.

This course is best played in daylight.

Rally Arcade Suburbian Track

Suburbian Track

Denser, faster and busier. The checkpoints sit in and around the housing, with shorter distances and more going on around you while you work.

  • SurfaceTarmac all the way
Rally Arcade Coastal Track

Coastal Track

Out towards the Oslo fjord. Winding coastal roads and pleasant seaside towns.

The course is under construction. Opening spring 2027.

Who it suits

Made for

Families, groups of friends and colleagues. No prior knowledge needed — just a car, a phone and the urge to figure things out together.

We adapt the difficulty to your group. If there are children under ten with you, we adjust the tasks so everyone can take part. Tell us when you book and we will sort it out.

Én konsoll per bil

The console is the heart of the whole thing. It shows the task, counts down the time and keeps the score. Built by us from scratch — it does not exist anywhere else.

The codes you find at the checkpoints are entered as a sequence of symbols and colours. And do not be surprised if a few arcade games turn up on the console along the way.

What does it cost?

You pay per car, not per person, and all prices include VAT. The price is shown on each individual trip in the booking calendar — it varies with the time slot and any campaigns running, so what you see there is what you pay.

How many can fit in one car?

As many as the car has seatbelts for. The price is the same either way, so fill it up. Four people is the ideal size, but it works perfectly well from two up to six or more.

Can we drive with just one car?

Yes. Then you compete against the clock and the scoreboard instead of against others. Many do it that way the first time, and bring more cars the next.

What is the difference between the courses?

Country Track heads into the farmland with gravel roads, farmyards and forest. Suburbian Track stays closer to the housing with shorter distances and more going on around you. Coastal Track heads for the sea and opens in spring 2027. Same mechanics, completely different tasks and places.

Where do the courses start and finish?

All courses start and finish in Ski, a short drive south of Oslo. You get the exact meeting point in your confirmation email.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. If there are children under ten in the car, we adapt the difficulty so everyone can help solve the tasks. Write their ages in the message field when you book and we will sort it out before you arrive.

Is it about driving fast?

No. The points are in the tasks, not in the driving time. We keep an eye on things, and teams that drive recklessly lose points.

What if it rains?

The course runs regardless. Dress for the weather — several checkpoints are outdoors, and you will be out of the car along the way.

Who can drive?

The driver needs a valid licence and must be sober. Passengers can be any age as long as an adult is responsible.

Can we drink alcohol along the way?

No. The driver is driving, and the course needs concentration from everyone in the car. Save the celebration for afterwards.

When do we know the trip is confirmed?

Book well in advance and the trip is confirmed immediately, with the confirmation in your inbox within a minute. Book closer to the start and we need to check that it fits first — then you get a receipt that we have your request, and an answer from us as soon as possible.

Can we cancel?

Yes, free of charge up to two days before the start — call +47 480 37 172 or reply to your confirmation, and we will release the slot for someone else. Closer to the start we ask that you come anyway, since the course is set up and the consoles are reserved for you.

When and how do we pay?

By Vipps when you arrive. You leave no card details and pay nothing when booking. Vipps is the Norwegian mobile payment app — if you do not have it, tell us and we will arrange another way.

We are more than four cars — how do we book?

On this page you can book up to four cars. If you are more, or want food, a venue and a programme around it, that goes through gamemaster.no. There we put the whole day together for you.

Planning something with work?
